Cantina de San Angel, a quick-service eatery outside the Mexico pavilion at Epcot, began demolition work this week to prepare for a new 400-seat, waterside restaurant that includes both table service and quick-service options.

We are lucky in Central Florida to live in an area relatively rich in Latin American culinary offerings. Puerto rican lechoneras, Colombian, Peruvian chicken joints, Cuban establishments and more abound in the Orlando landscape. They are mostly mom and pop type operations with small store fronts and the customary hole in the wall type atmosphere. Padrino's, a small family owned restaurant with three branches in Florida, is one of the few exceptions to this rule.

ORLANDO, FL – Adventure race enthusiasts and beginners alike will gather this Saturday, November 28, 2009 on the shores of the beautiful Wekiva River to burn off those extra Thanksgiving pounds. Pangea Adventure Racing presents their annual Turkey Burn Adventure Race, and it is the last chance this year for competitors to feel the adrenaline rush of running, biking and canoeing through uncharted wilderness. Over 200 racers have already registered, with more expected in the days leading to the race.

Occupying the cornerstone space in The Sanctuary condominium building, The iMansion has opened under new management in the space formerly occupied by The Beacon.
