ORLANDO, FL – An exciting dining and nightlife option has returned to Orlando’s hip Thornton Park South area. Occupying the cornerstone space in The Sanctuary condominium building, The iMansion has opened under new management in the space formerly occupied by The Beacon. In order to commemorate the opening, a press event will take place on October 19, 2009 at seven o’clock in the evening. A number of local media outlets are expected to attend.

Bringing a fresh approach to the area, iMansion will offer up affordable, contemporary American cuisine to the downtown business lunch crowd and weekend brunch-goers alike. Adorned with eight flat screen televisions, the space offers a refined alternative to the traditional sports bar, just in time for football season. At night, the venue transforms to an upscale, smoke-free, modern lounge offering a top shelf, full liquor bar, late-night food service and a rotating stable of live DJs. With indoor accommodations for 150 people, and an outdoor patio that can accommodate 200 people, The iMansion is also available for catered private parties of various sizes.

The brainchild behind the reinvention of the space is Wayne Maingot, managing partner of The iMansion. Though the area has been void of dining and nightlife options for several months, Maingot is optimistic that the once thriving block will be revitalized, realizing its full potential as one of the most attractive areas in all of downtown Orlando. He had this to say about the venue; “We are eager to re-brand iMansion as the gem of Thornton Park, a place for friends and family to gather for an affordable weekend meal, and for Orlando’s finest to see and be seen.”
