ORLANDO, FL – Padrino’s Cuban Bistro today announced that they have opened a new location in Orlando. The South Florida chain brings a new take on traditional Cuban cuisine to The Village at Hunters Creek shopping center off of John Young Parkway. In order to commemorate the opening, a press event will take place on January 29, 2009 at seven o’clock in the evening. Several dozen guests are expected to attend.

The new location brings with it a rich history which began in Pinar del Rio, Cuba back in the 1940’s. It was there that Mario’s father, Diosdado Padrino, owned a market and winery. The recipes of Mario’s late mother, Candida Rosa, live on today at Padrino’s Cuban Bistro. Nayade, Mario’s wife, oversees recipe development and quality control, while Salvador “Sal” Soberanis serves as a partner and chef of the Orlando location. In addition to providing great Cuban cuisine for its dine-in customers, Padrino’s also caters local events and accepts reservations for private parties wanting to use the restaurant.

The expansion marks the latest development in the continued evolution of the chain, a South Florida staple since 1976. Owner Mario Padrino said of the new restaurant, “Padrino’s Cuban Bistro brings a new level of contemporary, sophisticated Cuban cuisine to Orlando at a reasonable price. We hope our customers will enjoy the food as much as we have enjoyed preparing it.” The restaurant’s dedication to excellence, and the legacy of Diosdado Padrino and Candida Rosa, continues to this day at Padrino’s Cuban Bistro, where the accent is on delicious!
